This handsome, debonair devil you see before you is William Eugene Brown, Ila Jean’s husband. Bill to his friends and family. Grandad to me. Of whom Ila once said (regarding his mad skills in dancing), “He had big feet, and he knew how to use ’em.” He was also known for his entourage of bitches–that is, his female dogs. He bred Labradors.
Ila’s first-born child and only daughter, my mother, Andrea Jean Brown Hoard (aka Andy Brown). And me.
My uncle, Richard, who was rarely photographed as a baby without his mouth open, or as an adult without something silly on his head. Has been known to refer to his mother as “Big Lips.”
Daniel, my brother (like the song). He is a whole other story in himself. A beautiful, magical story which I hope to unfold throughout the fabric of this blog.
